And after another successful road trip, I am returned. I got to spend the weekend with two of my favorite people - FN and Schmitty - and see a bunch of the people I met last weekend. Wasn't as good as Arcadia, but we had fun. And now, we're road trippin' champs. Chris has a CD changer in the trunk which can only be accessed by flipping down the back seat. But the seat is locked, so you need the car key to get at it. Normally, one might pull over to change the musical lineup, but since he has a 5-speed and we're so awesome, we were able to kill the engine, open the seat, and start the engine again, all without dropping below 50 MPH.

I took my laptop along, figuring that I really should work on a project or paper, knowing full well I wouldn't. I really need to take care of those.

I was on a different college campus for the first time since beginning at RIT, with the possible exception of U of R (I think I passed through there once). We stopped in at Chris's friend Meg's college in Scranton - I wanna say Marywood, but that just sounds too dirty for a Christian school - to drag her along with us, which didn't work.

Hockey game again this Wednesday, and the week after that, and the week after that. People coming up to visit the weekend of the 18th. Turn 20 on the 27th. Izzard on Halloween. Meteor Shower party mid-November. If it weren't for classes, this would be an awesome quarter.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the drunken midget. He was funny. So far, my road-trip-to-midget ratio is 1:1 - maybe I should quit while I'm ahead.

Additionally, we re-wrote Hotel California to describe our experience in Arcadia last weekend.

Hotel Honda Prelude
(Sung to the tune of Hotel California, by The Eagles)

On a wet windy highway.
Trees flwe through the air
Mud splashed all around us
God, are we almost there
Up ahead in the distance
We saw some dangerous lights
The wind grew heavy and the lighting crashed
We had to stop for the night

There Rich stood in the doorway
He had his boxers on
Hadn’t unpacked his camper yet
He said he couldn’t until dawn
So we unpacked the Prelude
And we make a little room
Made ourselves three comfy beds
And this is what we said

CHO:
Welcome to the Hotel Honda Prelude
Such a cramped up place (such a cramped up place)
Such a tiny space
Plenty of room at the Hotel Honda Prelude
I just realized (I just realized)
I can’t feel my thighs.

Leg is definitely twisted
This ain’t no Mercedes-Benz
It was Jess and two hottie boys
Two strapping young men

They laid in the front seat
While she squished in the back
One sat and watched the lightning
The other two took a nap

So I went to the bathroom
They had all fallen down
(And she said) The only one that’s standing up
Is blocked by one on the ground

Isabelle tried to kick our ass all the way
Here we are in the middle of the field
Ready to part-aaay

CHO:
Welcome to the Hotel Honda Prelude
Such a cramped up place (such a cramped up place)
Such a tiny space
Livin’ it up at the Hotel Honda Prelude
No camping supplies (no camping supplies)
Our tent is front wheel drive

Sun roof on the ceiling
Sun’s in our eyes
We said "we feel so skanky in here"
A shower would be nice

Then Grillbillie Hall came
Not a moment too soon
Adam got his dobro out
And said "Let’s play some tunes"

The last thing I remember
I was drunk on the floor
Tried to hit the cooler up
But they said there’s no more

"Relax" said Slide Man
Then he told me something deep
"You can toss and turn all night long
But you can never sleep"

CHO:
Welcome to the Hotel Honda Prelude
Such a cramped up place (such a cramped up place)
Such a tiny space
Livin’ it up at the Hotel Honda Prelude
In Arcadia (in Arcadia)
With Isabelle-a

omg there *was* a midget at Arcadia too...

That's the most midgets I've seen in a year I think barring watching "The Wizard of Oz" but that was on TV so it doesn't really count.

Great lyrics Brock! So funny . . . so very funny. Now I have this craving for Hotel California so I can sing along!
