Shave THIS
I tell ya, shaving with a straight edge razor - not as easy as you might think (and finding that picture was a bitch, too).

I've been meaning to get my hands on a razor for months now. I often had conversations like this:
(conversation about shaving, or facial hair, or jam)
"That reminds me, I want to try shaving with a straight blade razor."
"Oh yeah, like the ones barbers use?"
"No, like a coke-head, down-the-street-not-across-the-road razor."
"You're retarded."

I was hanging out in the Den down at Tech Crew a few days ago when Mandy was sorting through some shit that had been laying around and came across a box of blades.
"Oooh, gimme one of those."
"No, you're going to do something stupid."

Well, I'm proud to say I still have both ears. I didn't even nick myself. I did about half of the right side of my face before I decided I was pushing my luck and went for the Mach 3. I could see what I was doing when I was doing my sideburns, but I had a hard time keeping my hand out of the way for my cheeks. It also felt like the blade was getting dull, but I'm not sure.

I'd call it a success.

Oh, and to everyone who said I was going to hurt myself - thanks for the vote of confidence. Assholes.

you do know they make holders for those so that you can shave with them. i don't know where to get them but luke wilson uses one in the royal tennenbaums right before he "goes down the street."

I thought the mach4 was a stupid exersice in marketing until I tried one and it works pretty sweet.

I tried one of the other 4-blade ones and tossed it immediately after. Since there were 4 blades where they usually put 3, they were too close together. My beard hair was thick enough to get stuck between the blades, rendering it useless.

I grew up shaving with one of those - except it was in a holder thingy.

Was it a "double-edge" razor

Isn't that technically called a "razor blade" not a "straight edge razor."

I grew up shaving with one of these.

Luckily I didn't have any facial hair until I was about 20 so I just kinda rubbed that thing on my face with super-fun color foam.

Has anyone actually ever shaved with one of these?

That one is a straight edge razor, the one Brock has is just a razor.
